At Qlockwork we’re big fans of time management techniques, particularly techniques that will help us use Outlook and Office more effectively, Qlockwork is, after all, an Outlook time tracking add-in. If you want to read more about time management, here are some useful sites or drop us an email with your favorite.
- Time tips from “Getting Things Done”.“Getting Things Done” is a well-known time scheduling programme devised by a chap called David Allen. We’ve used it and it works well. At David’s site, there are some good articles and tools.
- Time management and motivation articles from
Mark Forster (“Get Everything Done”). Mark Forster is a time management guru with a more “psychological” approach than David Allen. He has articles on his website about why we don’t use our time as effectively as we could. He also has an interesting estimation skills questionnaire that points out how bad we all are at making judgements like “I’m 90% sure X will happen”. - Microsoft Office Productivity Blog. For Office fans out there, Melissa Macbeth’s Microsoft blog has hints and tips on task lists and other time-saving features of Office. The articles include E-mail etiquette
and Outlook 2007 and “Getting Things Done”.
